Gatecrashers! Finland reach women’s world ice hockey final

Finland defeated record 10-time champions Canada 4-2 in the semi-finals in Espoo to reach the title game for the first time.

They will come up against a US side that has won the last four editions of the competition, after the Americans thrashed Russia 8-0 in the other last-four clash.

Canada and the US had faced off in every final since the tournament began in 1990. Finland had finished third on 12 previous occasions but will target a first gold on Sunday.
