Head of elections at the ANC Fikile Mbalula did not mince his words when he recently commented on Eskom CEO Matshela Koko’s abilities as head of operations at the power utility.
It began when Mbalula responsed to another Twitter user’s comments in response to an SABC news online article in which Koko attributed the latest stage of load shedding to “gross incompetence.”

It didn’t stop there. A seemingly annoyed Mbalula went on a Twitter tirade about Koko.

When alerted about Mbalula’s tweets, Koko went on the offensive.

This is a man who as a Minister borrowed close to a million rand to go to a holiday in Dubai.
Who on earth borrows a million rand to go to a holiday in Dubai and pay part of it is cash. The public protector has called him out. He had a case to answer.
He is not fit to lead

He went on to dismiss allegations made about him by Mbalula’s followers.
A said nothing about my step daughter because @Eskom_SA canvassed it in the Labour Court and failed.

No word on whether or not Mbalula has seen Koko’s responses but the Twar seems to have died down for now.
