Gauteng sports and recreation MEC Faith Mazibuko was all smiles earlier today as she finally got to hand over one of the combi courts she so vehemently demanded in an audio recording that was leaked a few weeks ago.
According to News24, Mazibuko officially handed over a state-of-the-art combi court, which caters for various sports codes, to residents of Evaton in the Vaal on Friday and insisted that no rules were broken in ensuring the facility was delivered on time.
@TeamNews24 MEC Faith Mazibuko said the combi court was completed in January after it was built in 2018.

In the leaked audio recording which emerged last Wednesday, she was heard ranting at staff and threatening them with dismissal.
Mazibuko also appeared to express the belief that her departmental budget was “her” money and it needed to be spent to help the ANC win elections.
She later apologised for her conduct and reiterated that apology during the handover, where she promised to subject herself to the ANC Integrity Commission for what she said.
The facilities are expected to be used by both young and old people in the area.
