702 presenter Africa Melane, who is currently standing in for Eusebius McKaiser, who fell ill while in studio on Tuesday and did not finish his show, has confirmed that McKaiser “took ill”.
According to Melane, McKaiser is now “on the mend and … feeling better”.
Azania Mosaka had to step in earlier than normal earlier this week to cover from McKaiser. He had earlier finished an interview with constitutional law expert Prof Pierre de Vos on the Supreme Court of Appeal ruling regarding hate speech.
It has been suggested that he may have fainted in the studio and needed to recover.
He responded to a message from The Citizen saying only that he’d had a “huge scare” and was “feeling better”.
Listeners sent the presenter messages of support on social media.
Get well soon Eubie❤️❤️
