A 53 year-old woman, and founder of Tjiff & Tjaff Daycare Center in Limpopo appeared at Phalaborwa Magistrate court on assault charges, Letaba Herald reports.
Eliza Janse van Rensburg is facing a charge of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
It is alleged that the preschool owner assaulted a boy (3) who is a learner at the Daycare center. The toddler was assaulted with an unknown object and sustained serious injuries on his behind.
The mother was informed about this act and upon her arrival at the preschool, she found her son crying. When the boy saw her mother entering the preschool, he requested to go home with her.
During her observation she noticed bruises on his buttocks and around his body.
