Former DA youth leader Mbali Ntuli recently celebrated two milestones in her life as she took on both the roles of mother to a baby girl and member of the KwaZulu-Natal provincial legislature.

Ntuli took to social media today to wish herself a happy birthday by posting a sweet message to her baby girl who was born less than a week ago and it was not long before the birthday wishes and congratulations streamed in.

“My beautiful daughter Sarabi YithiAmahlubi Hadebe. I’m loving the adventure we are having together with your dad as a family. I love that I already know you and you make me so happy to have waited for you,” began Ntuli.

“You are named for your grandmother and her strength. You are named for a funny story about your arrival into mine and your dad’s life and lastly you are named for a wish a 9-year-old Mbali made to the universe and in return promised to name her first child which she knew would be a girl, this name. Thank you also to my partner for eschewing traditional roles and acknowledging how important naming you was for me.”

Right around the time her baby girl was born, it was also announced that her name had made it on to the DA list of party representatives submitted to the IEC ahead of the upcoming elections.

Seeing as it has been quite some time since Ntuli made headlines, many were under the impression that she was no longer part of the party.

One of her followers even implored her to accept a position in the National Assembly, a plan that she said was on the cards but not at this exact moment. She hinted at the fact that she felt as though she may be censored if she made her way to the National Assembly right now.
