 ANC KZN delegates cheer for Zuma, heckle Ramaphosa at conference

The ANC’s 55th national conference has kicked off to a chaotic start in the south of Johannesburg after some delegates from KwaZulu-Natal heckled President Cyril Ramaphosa over the Phala Phala scandal.

Delegates from KZN chanted: “change, change” as Ramaphosa arrived inside the conference plenary at the Johannesburg Expo Centre, with ANC national chairperson Gwede Mantashe threatening to call security to quell the chaos.

Men apprehend for allegedly stealing R45k worth of chicken for festive season

With the price of food rocketing and Christmas around the corner, two men seem to have decided that it would be easier to redirect a delivery of chicken worth R45 000 from their employer’s dispatch at the Koelkamer Factory in Pretoria to their own destination.

According to police reports, the two employees from the cold room facility are expected to appear before the Makhado Magistrate court on Monday 19 December 2022 following their apprehension in connection with the theft of the chicken pallets on Thursday, 15 December 2022.

Silencing journalists at Twitter while claiming to be a free speech champion is the latest controversy provoked by Musk since he took over the company, which has seen staffing gutted and advertisers exit.

Bulls stick with winning formula for Exeter Champions Cup match

The Bulls have made minimal changes to the side that opened their Champions Cup campaign with a win over Lyon last weekend, when they  take on Exeter Chiefs in round two of the competition at Sandy Park, In England on Saturday afternoon (kick-off 3pm).

Having backed a largely second string side for their opener and being rewarded with a full house of points at Loftus, Director of Rugby Jake White decided to maintain consistency for their trip to England and made just four changes to the matchday 23 for the game against the hosts.
