In our 'Daily hacks' series, we bring you the latest tips, trends and tricks to transform your life and save you time and money.

Pots and pans are made up of metal and usually end up covered in rust over time because of their prolonged exposure to moisture.

Luckily, rust can be removed from pots and pans, but it is important to take care of them to ensure that they do not end up rusty again.

These three hacks will help you clean your cookware, get rid of rust, and get your pots and pans shining once again.

Apple cider vinegar

This first hack makes use of basic kitchen products to get rid of the rust stains found inside pots.

Brenna Lee Lindsey has shared a video on TikTok where she uses apple cider vinegar and dish washing liquid to clean her rusty pots.

She first fills the pot with some vinegar, and then adds some dishwashing liquid before mixing the solution together.

She leaves the solution in the pot to soak for some time, and then pours it out later to find that the solution has dissolved and broken down the rust that was stuck on the pot.

In the video, she covers her pan with a generous amount of salt, and then makes use of a scrubbing brush or steel wool to scrub off the rust and clean the pan.
