Couple attacked and robbed at Durban home

The victims were taken into a room by the intruders, who threatened the couple before ransacking the house, police said.

No arrests have been after a couple was attacked inside their home in Orange Rocks, St Michael’s, in Durban.

The couple were on the verandah when the man heard a noise last Thursday. He went to investigate and found two men inside the house, South Coast Herald reported.

Police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid said the intruders confronted him, threatened him with a knife and forced him outside to join his wife.

“The couple was then taken to a room by the intruders, who threatened them before ransacking the house,” she added.

The two men fled after stealing jewellery, three cellphones and cash.

It was later established that they had gained entry through a back window.
