People have been urged to avoid Mint and Central roads in Fordsburg, Johannesburg, following the cash-in-transit heist in the area, Rising Sun Lenasia reports.
It is alleged that armed suspects fired at a police officer, injuring him. The injured officer is being airlifted to the nearby hospital.
It has emerged that a resident was also shot.

The suspects are exchanging shots with the law-enforcement agencies.
“The area has been declared a no go area. Traffic is crazy. Most roads are blocked,” said a source.
