Cape Town DJ hits the big time

Known for his ability to blend a range of electronic genres while still staying true to his signature style, Dean is one of Cape Town’s hottest house and trance DJs, and he says seeing the video for his aptly titled track, ‘Living The Dream’, on television was wonderfully satisfying.

Commenting on this milestone achievement, the DJ said: “Seeing the music video play on MTV was surreal. It’s a real stamp of approval to achieve this – a proud moment for me built on years of hard work, and the massive support of my fans.”

Born into a family where music was not only a passion but a way of life, Dean took to the world of music from an early age. Drawing on a diverse musical background and inspired by live-sets from idols like Carl Cox, Sasha and Digweed, and Jeff Mills, Dean nurtured his overwhelming desire to be a DJ.

Over time perfecting his skill and making his dream a reality, Dean has held his own against top international DJs like Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, Above and Beyond, and David Guetta.
