Investigations are ongoing after the Letsitele Slaghuis/Butchery in Limpopo was burgled on Thursday night.
The robbers used a brick to smash a hole in the glass right in the middle of the pane on Thursday.
Then they chipped away the edges to make the hole big enough to fit through the hole in the middle of the pane, about a metre off the ground, Letaba Herald reported.
They climbed in through the hole and went straight for the cash register, holding about R300 in float.
The butchery is owned by the Du Plessis family in Letsitele. The family is upset because they now have to replace the window pane, which will cost about 20 times the value of what the simpletons stole.
Local residents are reminded to be on alert for the current increase in (senseless) crimes in the area.
