#ANC54: KZN, FS and Bojanala branches will not vote
This effectively means all branches from the two provinces and the North West region will not be able to decide who takes over as the next ANC president.

“We don’t want to do anything that will contaminate this conference,” ANC secretary general Gwede Mantashe said a while ago, while announcing the decision to abide by court orders.
Mantashe told the media at a hastily arranged press conference that Kwazulu-Natal, Free State and Bojanala region in North West have been barred from voting at the governing party’s national conference.
“We have decided that Free State, KZN and Bojanala will not be voting at the conference,” Mantashe said in a brief report back.
ANC national spokesperson Zizi Kodwa said he will not take any questions.
Mantashe added that he is no longer in charge of the administrative affairs of the party.
“All branches from affected parties will not vote. We will not even allow coded ballots. We will give them an ear as observers,” he said.
Mantashe said the affected delegates will be treated as guests to the conference. He said the NEC has decided all disputes will be discussed by the new leadership after the conference.
Registration continues with Tshwane delegates currently undergoing the process. The conference has a result been delayed and will only start at 2.
