Brakpan raceway rocks

Oval track racing will return to the Rock Raceway in Brakpan with style this Saturday, with a wide and varied programme awaiting patrons.

Topping the show will be races for V8 Sprint Cars with a dozen of the hugely winged and tyred 480kW monster vehicles taking to the tarmac.

There will also be races for 1 600cc Stock Rods, 1 660cc Modified Saloon Cars, Two-Litre Hotrods, Super Saloon Cars and 125cc Rotax Karts.

Racing for Formula N road cars will take place on a combination of the venue’s tar oval and a tricky outside circuit.

• The Rock’s gates will open from 10am, with racing to start at 4pm.
• Admission is R80 per adult and R30 for children between the ages of six and 12 years.
• Food and drink will be on sale or you may take your own.
• Parking is plentiful, free and patrolled, all grandstand seating is free, and you may visit the pits on foot at any time.
