South Africa's Kevin Anderson will play top seed David Ferrer in the quarter finals of the Mexican Open.

Anderson beat American Sam Querrey 7-6 (2), 6-4 on Wednesday (Thursday — South African time), while Ferrer beat fellow Spaniard Feliciano Lopez 7-6 (1), 6-2 to advance to his fifth-straight Mexican Open quarterfinal.
The two would face each other later on Thursday (Friday — South African time).
