The leader of Alleluia Ministries International, Alph Lukau, used the weekend service to explain the resurrection “miracle” which took place at his church last week and also held another miracle service which has received as much criticism.
Speaking to congregants, Lukau said the backlash he had received was a result of the world having grown “cold” towards what the word of God, further clarifying he did not raise the man from the dead, but only prayed for his strength. He further challenged “clergymen” to go back to the bible and understand that what happened at his church should not have been strange to them.
He said: “During the service, we had been interrupted twice because of power. Then we heard news that somebody who was in a coffin moved and the family brought him on the way to his burial or something like that. I went out to see and the person in the coffin was indeed breathing and I said miraculously the person is alive and breathing.
“His body was very stiff and he was in a catatonic state, he was looking left and right. I asked his name, they gave me a long name and Elliot, I called out his name and he looked at me and I prayed for him and God gave him the grace that he may be strong, and he stood and we pulled him out of the coffin. All this happening is not strange not only to our church but also not strange to the word of God.
“We have no reason whatsoever when such an incident happens that we may be doubting or sceptical so we celebrated that miracle and the person could walk and we brought him here, he was looking around. As far as the church is concerned, it was beautiful. Our world today has grown so cold, that is a shame. It is a teaching of the word that the dead can come back to life. Many clergymen still need to go back to the whiteboard.”
Lukau further posted pictures of himself praying for the sick, with ambulances seen in the background.
“This Friday and Sunday in AMI shall be the greatest weekend of your life. I feel a heavy anointing upon me from God for your breakthrough.
“I am talking about you receiving healing miracles, employment miracles, creative miracles, financial miracles, marriage testimonies, and great financial breakthrough! Join us in church/LIVE streaming from wherever you are. After we pray for you, may every word that God promised you for 2019 be made manifest! So shall it be,” said the pastor on Facebook.
