3-year-old twins injured in Durban North fire
A domestic worker has also been taken to hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.

Firefighters various emergency personnel are currently on scene at a house fire on the corner of Hoylake Drive and Swapo (Broadway) Road in Durban on Monday.
Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen confirmed two young children have been badly burnt in the incident, Northglen News reported.
“It’s unclear what caused the blaze, but two young children, twins, who are 3 years old, have been badly burnt in the fire. They have been transported through to Umhlanga Hospital. A third victim, a domestic worker, has also been taken to hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation,” he said.

Neil Powell of Crisis Medical, who is also on scene, said the road has been blocked off.
“There is thick smoke in the area and Broadway [Swapo] has been blocked off. There are several emergency personnel on the ground, and at this stage it is unclear what caused the blaze,” he said.
