Alleged ritual murder suspects in court

The mutilated body of the deceased was found after she left home to relieve herself in the nearby bushes.

Two suspects are expected in court after they were arrested for the ritual murder of 16-year-old Rirhandzu Manganye in Gumbani Village.

The mutilated body of the deceased was found on July 6 after she left home to relieve herself in the nearby bushes next to the river in Gumbani Village, but she never returned, Letaba Herald reported.

Police then launched intensive investigations that led to the arrest of two suspects.

A 43-year-old Austine Nhuluvhe was arrested in Giyani and 42-year-old Kheyi Billy Chauke was later arrested in Alexandra, in Gauteng.

The duo have been in custody since their arrest on August 17.

The two suspects will again appear in Malamulele Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, September 13.
