Irked girlfriend stabs boyfriend to death

The suspect allegedly borrowed her murder weapon from one of her boyfriend's siblings.

A 38-year-old woman in Mpumalanga was arrested by police from Elukwatini in connection with the murder of her boyfriend, eight years younger than her, Mpumalanga News reports.

Muhle Charlotte Hlophe allegedly stabbed and inflicted multiple stab wounds on her boyfriend at his place at Nhlazatshe Extension 5.

It is alleged she left her friends after a drinking spree at a tavern in Extension 1 and went to her boyfriend’s place, and when she got there, she knocked on the door, but no one opened for her.

She then went to the main house, where she borrowed a knife from her boyfriend’s siblings to force open the door, but the victim’s siblings tried to stop her from going to the room and said the victim was way too drunk to speak to her, but she insisted.

Her 30-year-old boyfriend, Emmanuel Dlamini, was later found by his family lying in a pool of blood with multiple stab wounds on his bed.
