Driver killed, three injured in Bluff collision

Paramedics arrived at the scene and found that the driver was severely entrapped in the wreckage.


A man has been killed and three others seriously injured after a car collided into the rear end of a truck on Edwin Swales Drive and Chalmers Road in the Bluff area in KwaZulu-Natal early on Friday.

Rescue Care paramedics arrived at the scene and found that the driver, a man believed to be in his 20s, was severely entrapped in the wreckage, Rising Sun Chatsworth reported.

Upon assessment, they also found that he showed no signs of life, and he was declared dead at the scene.

Three passengers sustained serious injuries and were stabilised at the scene by Rescue Care’s Advanced Life Support paramedics before being transported to various hospitals for further medical treatment.
