Mpumalanga woman wanted for allegedly killing husband

It is alleged the woman disappeared the day her husband died.


Police are looking for a woman in connection with the murder of her 39-year-old husband in Barberton, Mpumalanga.

The woman and her husband resided in Extension 11 at Emjindini .

Police spokesperson Captain Jabu Ndubane said the woman had disappeared the day her husband died, the Barberton Times reported.

“On Saturday April 15 we received information about a man who had been murdered. According to the information received, Joyce and Abraham were fighting at around 2am. She allegedly stabbed him. The mother of the deceased was the one who informed the police about the matter after she went to visit the house,” added Ndubane.

“Upon her arrival, she found the suspect’s sister cleaning up blood at around 8am. She also found a knife in the house. When she enquired, she was informed her son was in hospital.

“She then rushed to the hospital hoping to find the him alive. However, he was already dead. She then immediately rushed to the police station,” said Ndubane.

Investigations are ongoing.
