Two dead, three injured in Garsfontein stabbing

Two people died, and three are seriously injured, at a home in Garsfontein, Pretoria, on Wednesday.
“At 00.46 on Wednesday, Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a stabbing incident in Mias Street in Garsfontein, Pretoria,” said Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha.
“Reports from the scene indicate that five people were attacked.”
Botha said when paramedics arrived at the scene, they found all five victims had been tied up, assaulted and stabbed, Rekord East reported.
“Two females died before our arrival.”
“One female was in a critical condition, a man was seriously injured, while another female escaped with moderate injuries.”
Netcare 911 paramedics stabilised the injured at the scene before they were taken to hospital.
Botha said the cause of the stabbings would form part of a police investigation.
