Well-known barber knifed to death in Pietermaritzburg
The deceased was found lying on the floor in a pool of blood with multiple chest injuries.

A local barber was knifed to death at his barber shop in downtown Pietermaritzburg on Wednesday afternoon.
According to police, barber Poobie Chetty, the owner of Tip Top Hair Salon, was attacked at about 1.30pm and suffered multiple stab wounds to his body, Public Eye Maritzburg reported.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Nthokozisi confirmed that the incident occurred at 564 Church Street.
“Police had responded to a complaint of robbery at the scene and arrived to find the deceased lying on the floor in a pool of blood with multiple chest injuries.”
