A pregnant woman and her unborn baby died outside RK Khan Hospital in KwaZulu-Natal after a freak incident on Monday.

The woman reportedly lost consciousness after she allegedly threw herself out of a stationary vehicle in Willow Crescent, Pinetown, and had to be transported to hospital, Highway Mail reported.

According to ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring, the mother slipped in and out of consciousness on the way to hospital.

He said her vital signs continued to deteriorate and she died outside the hospital.
