Man killed at KZN filling station

The deceased and a truck driver got involved in an altercation.


A fight reportedly broke out in the early hours of Sunday morning at a Richards Bay filling station during the weekend – and ended in the death of a 33-year-old man, Zululand Observer reports.

A case of murder was opened after police were called to the scene along Alumina Allee at 1.45am on Sunday.

Officers were told the deceased and a truck driver got involved in an altercation before the truck driver sped off, fatally hitting the victim and injuring two other people.

The injured were rushed to the Ngwelezana Hospital.

The suspect is still at large.
