A posting by the Latest Sightings website captures the moment when a tour guide got a lot more than he bargained for while following some lion spoor in the Kruger Park.
According to the report, he did exactly what he should have, which was to not turn his back and start running away, which many others may have done. He stayed calm and made it back with a smile.
Latest Sightings reports that safari guide Steve Faulconbridge from SafariLive was having a guided tour live-streamed in Djuma, which is part of the Greater Kruger National Park, and was looking for the Nkuhuma lion pride from the Sabi Sands Game Reserve.
He jumped out of the 4×4 to look at the lion tracks, and then realised he’d almost walked straight into a whole pride of them as one of the lionesses popped up to take a look at him.
