As the sixth week of the Joshlin Smith kidnapping continues, the mini trial continues to prove whether two of the accused were tortured and abused by police.
The court has heard multiple accounts of how Jacquen “Boeta” Appolliss got his injuries.
Joshlin’s mother, Racquel “Kelly” Smith, her boyfriend Appollis and his friend Van Rhyn have been arrested and charged with kidnapping and human trafficking.
They have pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The accused claim that they were forced to make a confession under duress.
The trial continues.
