Starting in Cape Town, at the most southerly point of Africa, 26-year-old Briton Russell Cook, aims to reach the most northerly point in Tunisia by Christmas.
Briton Russell Cook aims to run the length of Africa, from South Africa to Tunisia in 240 days.
Cook’s efforts equate to running 360 marathons in 240 days.
Cook started his journey in April, and in his first two weeks has run over 50 kilometers per day through South Africa. He has now crossed into Namibia where he’ll face the unrelenting Namib Desert.
