WATCH: Ahmed Kathrada legacy continues as grave unveiled

Westpark Cemetery saw the unveiling of anti-apartheid veteran Ahmed “Uncle Kathy” Kathrada’s garden of remembrance.
Andrew Mlangeni who was his fellow Rivonia trialist and Robben Island prisoner unveiled an information board on Kathrada’s legacy alongside the Kathrada site of memory at the cemetary.
“I think people can learn a lot from the life of comrade Kathrada. He was a very good man, very commited to the struggle, and up to his death he was very busy in the movement and in society as well,” said fellow ANC veteran and stalwart Andrew Mlangeni.
He continued by saying that one thing that people needed to learn was to be disciplined in whatever they did, “especially when carrying out the decisions of the movement”.
