For over 15 years, residents of Refengkgotso in Deneysville, Free State, have been without running tap water, and when there is, they are instead met with brownish muddy water. The Citizen has been inundated with calls from disgruntled residents fearing for their health over the dire water situation there.
Businesses have also been adversely affected by the water woes in the area. Salon owner Junior Mabunda says he is also forced to go and fetch water at a communal tap so that he can make sure that his business stays afloat.
