The numbers of licenced black taxis by Transport for London (TfL) have fallen from 22,810 in 2013-14 to 14,470 in 2023-24. A report by TfL has found that the Knowledge of London test, that is required for black-cab drivers, is too complex and diffcult for newcomers.
