Local gospel artist to bless congregants with her golden voice

Mhlongo, who also hosts her own TV programme on Dstv's GNF channel on Fridays, will share the stage with other local heavyweights in the field.

A local gospel artist who has taken the music industry by storm, Pretty Mhlongo, will bring the Ngodini Alliance Church’s roof down with her golden voice this Saturday.

Mhlongo, who also hosts her own TV programme on Dstv’s GNF channel on Fridays, will share the stage with other local heavyweights in the field. These are Goodman Mgiba, Ntokozo Nkosi, Bheki Mona, The Worshippers and the Bridal Worship Choir during the Bridal Worship TV program recording at Ngodini.

After a successful stint in the music industry, with the help of her musician husband, Selby Mhlongo and the Church on the Hill, Mhlongo launched her other career as a TV host and hasn’t disappointed in that field either.

She says this weekend’s TV recording proves just how far her show has grown and how much she has also personally grown from just being a musician.

“These are the works of God, who has blessed me with the talents I have and this is my way of thanking Him. I would like to invite everyone, not just Christians or born-agains, but the general public to be part of it and also to be blessed by the music we have in store for them,” says Mhlongo.

She says she has seen in other provinces and municipalities, where they supported their own artists. She hopes that locals will also take ownership and help build their own artists by supporting such initiatives.

“You know what we do, we don’t only do for ourselves but also to lift our provincial flag and send a statement that there is talent in Mpumalanga. We can not do this without everyone’s support. So we need them to start supporting us for us to grow from here into being giants, like Rebecca Malope and many others from this province.”

The show will start at 16:00 till late, and entrance fee is R70 for adults and R50 for children.

The Bridal Worship TV series will be available and on sale on the day of the event.
