You can go further with Toyota’s new extended warranties

Toyota SA Motors has just shifted its aftersales service a gear up by launching two new genuine warranty products.

The Toyota Genuine Unlimited Warranty and Genuine PreOwned Warranty+ are designed to offer customers unparalleled cover at very competitive premiums.

The Toyota Genuine Unlimited Warranty is applicable to Toyota models still covered by the three-year/100 000km manufacturer’s warranty.

The vehicles must not have not skipped more than one service interval.

Below are some of the benefits of this warranty: No limit on mileage – the extension options are either six or eight years/unlimited mileage on all petrol and diesel Toyota vehicles.

On hybrid vehicles, the only option is a 10-year/unlimited mileage extension covering all hybrid componentry, including the battery.

The policy also provides for replacements of some parts (a set of shock absorbers, clutch kit and a single instance of brake disk skimming) as a result of wear and tear.

Vehicle failure or malfunction as a result of wear and tear on the engine, transmission and drivetrain up to 250 000km is also covered.

The Toyota Genuine PreOwned Warranty+ is applicable to vehicles that are outside of the manufacturer’s warranty, but not older than seven years and with mileage not exceeding 200 000km.

The vehicles must not have missed a maximum of two (non-consecutive) service intervals.

Below are some of the benefits of this warranty:

• Cover for a period of two years or up to 250 000km.
• This effectively means a Toyota vehicle could be covered by warranty for up to nine years.
• Road cover and 24/7 roadside assistance.
• Repairs will be done exclusively by a Toyota dealer with enuine Toyota parts.

These products afford customers the same level of cover as the manufacturer’s warranty for an extended period.

However, these new warranty products are not available for Quantum Ses’fikile and Dyna models.
