Detailed back in February for Europe, Stellantis South Africa has announced pricing details of the updated Citroën C3 Aircross, five months after the local market debut of the ‘conventional’ hatch.
Characterised by the silver front and rear skidplates and roof rails, the Aircross’ exterior tweaks otherwise mirrors those of sibling in that it receives a restyled nose, the same grille as the CXperience concept resplendent with the new corporate chevron logo, and redesigned LED headlights.
For South Africa, five colours are offered; Polar White, Artense Grey, Platinum Grey, Voltaic Blue and Pepper Red, all contrasted by either a white or black roof. As an option, buyers can specify the colour pack that adds white accents to the skidplates, on the doors and fog light surrounds.
Inside, Citroën has been less dramatic than on the outside and outfitted the Aircross with the new comfort seats, while also revising the centre console and updating the specification sheet to include Park Assist, Heads-Up Display and Hill Start Assist.

In a change from models sold on the Old Continent though, the new nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system has not been carried over, meaning the retention of the old seven-inch display that still features both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Still measuring 4 142 mm in overall length with its wheelbase rated at 2 604 mm, height at 1 637 mm and width at 1 756 mm, the Aircross rides as standard on 16-inch wheels with those of the top-spec Shine sporting a diamond-cut alloy design. Boot space is unchanged at 410-litres and can be expanded to 1 289-litres with the rear seats down.
Up front, Citroën has kept the powertrain line-up unchanged with both the Shine and entry-level Feel again making use of the turbocharged 1.2-litre three-cylinder PureTech petrol engine that produces 81kW/205Nm. Drive once again goes to the front wheels through a six-speed automatic gearbox with claimed fuel consumption of 6.5 L/100 km.
As before, a five year/100 000 km warranty and three year/60 000 km service plan is standard on both models with the Feel retailing from R399 900 and the Shine from R424 900.
