Incrementally tweaked at the beginning of this year, Toyota has added more safety equipment to the specification sheet of the locally built HiAce Ses’fikile.

While already equipped with ABS and dual front airbags, both petrol and diesel models now benefit from Hill Start Assist, Vehicle Stability Control, Brake Assist and traction control. A newly designed hooter said to be more durable and emergency brake lights round the changes off.

Still providing seating for 16, the HiAce Ses’fikile’s choice of engines remain unchanged, namely the 111kW/241Nm 2.7-litre petrol and the 75kW/260Nm 2.5 D-4D turbodiesel. A five-speed manual gearbox sends the amount of shove to the rear wheels.

Priced at R478 500 for the petrol and R508 300 for the diesel, the HiAce Ses’fikile’s stickers include a three year/100 000 km warranty as well as a six service/60 000 km service plan.
