After posting specification and pricing details of the Urban Cruiser last week, Toyota has officially detailed its new entry-level SUV based on the Suzuki Vitara Brezza.
Unveiled last year, the Urban Cruiser revives a moniker last used seven years ago on a European version of the Japanese market ist, and slots in below the C-HR in the brand’s local line-up.
Comprising five models versus the Brezza’s four, the Urban Cruiser sports the same dimensions and derives motivation from the same 1.5 K15B petrol engine rated at 77kW/138Nm. Drive is send to the front wheels only via a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic gearbox. Claimed fuel consumption is 6.2 L/100 km regardless of the gearbox.
Aside from the visual differences, which consist of a redesigned front facia and replacing the Suzuki badges with Toyota ones, the Urban Cruiser is otherwise identical to the Vitara Brezza, with the only other difference being the specification and price.
