Streamlined Super Series travels to Eastern Cape

Apart from the motorcycle brigade, who are racing on their own now, Scribante will miss the V8GT and Sportscar classes, which elected not to travel to Port Elizabeth this year.

> Topping the programme – with small numbers again the overriding theme – will be two races for Bridgestone Production Cars.

Reigning champion Michael Stephen (Engen Xtreme Audi S4) will be the man to beat on his home circuit, backed by the identical Audi of his teammate Simon Moss.

Experts reckon this will be a weekend for Audis.

Audi do their testing at the Scribante circuit and Stephen drives as well as he has ever done, making it difficult to see anybody seriously taking him on.

Graeme Nathan (Genuine Parts VW Golf GTI) will lead the Class T field. Rounding out the field will be Ryan Rhode (Castrol MINI Cooper S), Shaun Duminy (Team Ford Focus ST), Charl Smalberger (Sabertek Golf GTI) and Ryan Cooper (Golf GTI)

> The Ferodo team’s Daniel Rowe and Sheldon van der Linde start as favourites in the Engen Volkswagen Cup races.

Chasing them should be Jano van der Westhuizen (VW Polo), Tasmin Pepper (PG Glass Polo), and Dewald Brummer (GPM Polo), among others.

> Robert Wolk (Midas FVW) and Nicholas van Weely (AngloRand FVW) battlefor the Formula Volkswagen race victories.

> Scott Temple (Investchem Mygale) could win the Midas F1600 races, as could Graham Hepburn (Suburban Body Shop Mygale), Keegan Campos (Hollard Mygale), Ian Schofield (Investchem Mygale) and Bevan Williams (Mygale).
