Roughly two years down the line since the current generation of the Toyota Aygo landed in SA, Toyota is introducing a new derivative to the model lineup dubbed Aygo X-Cite. Other models include the Aygo and Aygo X- Play Black.

The X-Cite comes with a retractable canvas roof (a bit similar to that one of Fiat’s 500 Cabrio). Finished in black, the full-length X-Cite canvas roof is factory-fitted and electrically operated with a switch next to the map light control in the headlining.

The 1.0-litre VVT-i petrol engine soldier on paired with a manual transmission. In terms of safety, you get Vehicle Stability Control and SRS Airbags (Driver +Passenger +Side +Curtain) by default.  Other standard features include LED daytime running lights, 15-inch alloy wheels, and short pole Antenna.
