New turbochargedpower for little Corsa

General Motors South Africa has made changes to the standard specifications of the Opel Corsa range which include the addition of an all-new turbocharged 1.4 litre model.


Changes to vehicle specification have been implemented to rationalise the range and improve its value offering.

The the new turbo model is also geared towards efficiency, increased engine performance, and a reduced environmental footprint.

Supplementing the two OPC models of the sub-compact hatchback, the Corsa range now comprises two five-door versions for a total of four models.

The all-new Opel Corsa 1.4 Turbo Enjoy makes its entrance with a turbocharged 1.4-litre ECOTEC petrol engine, with a power output of 88 kW between 4 000 and 6 000 rpm, and 175 Nm of torque between 1 750 and 4 750 rpm.

Aimed squarely at improved fuel efficiency and an inherently more pleasant drive, the new Corsa Turbo consumes just 5.5-litres per 100 km and enjoys lower carbon emissions of 129 g/km.

Other eco-minded enhancements include start-stop engine control.

Available exclusively with Enjoy trim, the new 1.4 Corsa Turbo Enjoy features a number of standard feature highlights which add even more value to its already attractive price.

Supplementing these additions, the entire Corsa range now comes standard with an uprated infotainment system.

All models in the Opel Corsa range, including both OPC derivatives, benefit from a substantial five-year/120 000 km warranty and a three-year/ 60 000 km service plan as standard.
