Coming just over a week after a digital representation of its styling leaked courtesy of an image of its instrument cluster, the newest leak from the bu3amraz_garage Instagram page (main image) shows an apparent production Defender with a thin grille, silver painted plastic at the base of the bumper, Range Rover-like headlights with blacked-out deep clusters, what appears to be a two-tone white roof and more Range Rover touches in the form of the side vents.
Despite the removed bonnet, the wrapped-up engine leaves no clues as to what might power the Defender, although reports are that it will come powered by the Ingenium range of turbocharged petrol and diesel engines displacing 2.0-litres, a six-cylinder version of both and a possible plug-in hybrid powertrain.
Set to ride on an all-new platform called Modular Longitudinal Architecture (MLA), the Defender will, based on a previous leak, also feature a touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster and an automatic gearbox for the first time.
In spite of Land Rover not having commentated on the leak, expect more images and details to emerge in the coming weeks and months leading up to its world debut.
