Stickered at last: Mercedes-Benz prices all-new C-Class
More models, including the four-cylinder AMG C63, will arrive next year.
The C-Class will once again be made at Benz’s East London plant.
Delayed on numerous occasions ever since its world debut back in February, Mercedes-Benz has now officially released pricing details of the all-new C-Class.
Known internally as the W206, the C-Class, which had been in development for over three years , arrives bearing a closer resemblance to the S-Class than ever before, with an equally new assortment of specification and safety features.
Riding on a revised version of its predecessor’s MRA platform, the longer, wider but also lower than before new C-Class touches down, initially, in two models only; the C200 and C220d with more derivatives, including the new four-cylinder, electrified C63, arriving next year.

Offered in Avantgarde spec as standard with the ever popular AMG Line being the other, power in the C200 comes from the Renault derived 1.5-litre turbo rated at 150kW/500Nm, while the Benz developed 2.0-litre oil-burner makes 147kW/440Nm in the C220d.
Both are mated to the 9G Tronic transmission with the standard 48-volt mild-hybrid EQ Boost system adding an additional 15kW/200Nm as part of a short spell overboost function.
In terms of performance, both will get from 0-100 km/h in 7.3 seconds with the C200 topping-out at 246 km/h and the C220d at 245 km/h. Claimed fuel consumption is 6.6 L/100 km for the former and 4.4 L/100 km for the latter.
Price
Standard across the four model range is a two year/unlimited km warranty as well as a five year/100 000 km maintenance plan.
