2015 Nissan GT-R raises the bar again

The all-conquering Nissan GT-R, which remains one of the most striking supercars, has received a number of important handling, interior and exterior enhancements for 2015.

Aimed at improving the already renowned GT-R driving experience, the 2015 upgrades underline GT-R’s legendary position in the upper echelons of the supercar segment. Achieving a heightened sense of premium sports performance, the most notable changes improve GT-R’s ride and handling, with comfort playing an even greater role than before.

A more mature suspension setup – which is still a double wishbone design up front and a multilink system at the rear – allows for improved comfort, handling and stability. Noise, vibration and harshness levels have been reduced, thanks to improved transmission noise and shock reduction, with brake noise reduced as well for an overall more pleasant drive.

Braking ability – which is powered by a revered two-piece floating-rotor Brembo four-disc system – has also been enhanced. Completing the list of improvements, a new multi-spoke wheel design is now available for the GT-R Premium Edition.

“What is most important to note is the price increase on the 2015 Nissan GT-R derivatives has been capped at a mere 1%,” says Konstantin von Vieregge, general manager of product planning at Nissan South Africa.

“This means a minimal increase of just R15 000 to all models, offering the 2015 modifications at exceptional value.”
