The Epic of Toyota’s Fortuner
The Toyota Fortuner needs no introduction, which is perhaps why Toyota have introduced a limited edition version, The Fortuner Epic, for Fortuner drivers who want to stand out from even other Fortuner drivers.

Essentially it is no more than a styling package on a vehicle that needs little more in any event. We all think the new Hilux will arrive next year and obviously its cousin the Fortuner will benefit at more or less the same time. So in much the same fashion as the Legend 45 keeps Hilux interesting until then, Epic offers the Fortuner brand something unique.
The popular SUV has been revised generally with a redesigned front-end gaining new headlights with black-out detail.
There are also teardrop-shaped chromed bezels surrounding the front fog lights. All outer mirrors are now chromed, as opposed to colour-coded.

Bringing up the rear are new tail lamps, once again with black-out detail, mirroring the front units.
The Epic derivative adds a chromed nudge bar with unique Epic branding. In profile, the dark-grey 17-inch alloy wheels provide further visual differentiation. Adding functionality to the rear, Epic models get a towbar as well as a rear sill protector to make loading bulky objects just that little bit easier.

The Epic edition will be applied to 50% of the next two months of production of all the 3.0 D-4D and 4.0 V6 derivatives built at Toyota’s Prospecton plant in Durban, so it truly is a limited edition.
