New Mercedes-Maybach now offers the very best in modern luxury

Powerful air intakes, a wide bumper, the grill decorated with a proud name: the striking front gives the new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class an impressive presence. The upgraded front with extensive chrome trim underscores the exceptional status of the Mercedes-Maybach.

Also new is the Maybach logotype between the louvres of the radiator grille. In addition, the rear is equipped with LED lights, including closing lights in crystal optics, which provide a characteristic design day and night. Also new: a final lighting stage during unlocking and locking plus three horizontal pairs of lights.

The new V8 in the Mercedes-Maybach S 560 4MATIC comes to the starting line with 345 kW and 700 Nm. The new 4.0-litre biturbo engine consumes about ten percent less fuel than the predecessor. Under partial load four cylinders are deactivated simultaneously with the help of the Camtronic valve-lift adjustment system.

This reduces gas-cycle losses and enhances the overall efficiency of the four firing cylinders.

The S650 uses a V12 that produces 463 kW and 1 000 Nm. Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Drive combines highly developed assistance systems and provides the vehicle with the help of intelligent map data. Distronic Active Proximity Control and Active Steer Assist now provide even more comfortable support for the driver to keep a safe distance and steer. The speed is now adjusted automatically ahead of curves or junctions.

The “Assistance Graphics” menu of the instrument panel shows the driver at one glance which assistance functions he selected and to what situations the systems are responding. Unmistakable icons provide him with information on the screen as well in the head-up display.

The high-resolution widescreen cockpit and a cordless charging system for smartphones support passengers who need real-time information for important decisions.

The wide-screen cockpit contains a large display with virtual instruments in the direct field of vision of the driver as well as a central display above the centre console.

Because the cockpit is fully digital, the driver can choose from three different display styles and also configure the information at will.

From the exclusive leather upholstery to the decorative elements of fine wood – it does not get any better. In addition, the chauffeur package offers generous legroom in the rear.

The optionally available Energizing Comfort Control is a world-first entering series production and allows all passengers to travel relaxed. It combines comfort systems such as Thermotronic, massage and fragrancing to create an inspiring wellness experience. It uses specific comfort functions as well as light and music moods and allows customers to configure a specific wellness set-up to suit their need.

The programmes are visualised on the head unit with colour graphics, and backed by suitable music.

Energizing Comfort Control also incorporates the ambience lighting, which is harmoniously tailored to each of the individual screen designs. The light stages the interior like a work of art by composing colour worlds from different colours.
