Say hello to Toyota’s new Aygo X-Cite

It did not take the Japanese carmaker that long since introducing the current Aygo gen.


Roughly two years down the line since the current generation of the Toyota Aygo landed in SA, Toyota is introducing a new derivative to the model lineup dubbed Aygo X-Cite. Other models include the Aygo and Aygo X- Play Black.

The X-Cite comes with a retractable canvas roof (a bit similar to that one of Fiat’s 500 Cabrio). Finished in black, the full-length X-Cite canvas roof is factory-fitted and electrically operated with a switch next to the map light control in the headlining.

The 1.0-litre VVT-i petrol engine soldier on paired with a manual transmission. In terms of safety, you get Vehicle Stability Control and SRS Airbags (Driver +Passenger +Side +Curtain) by default.  Other standard features include LED daytime running lights, 15-inch alloy wheels, and short pole Antenna.
