Baker Blazes to Super600 title

Thomas Brown won both BOTTS races to retain his championship crown.

The final round of this year’s South African SuperGP series was held at the Free State Phakisa Raceway last Saturday, concluding all of the season’s three national title chases.

Going to the Free State as the already crowned SuperGP title holder, Michael White (Consortium Shipping Yamaha R1) confirmed his superiority by winning both of the day’s races ahead of Clint Seller (King Price BikeFin Yamaha R1) and David McFadden (RPM Centre Yamaha R1).

Blaze Baker (King Price BikeFin Yamaha R6) won both the Super600 races and the title ahead of Adolf Boshoff (Uncle Andy Suzuki GSXR600) and Byron Bester (Hi-Tech Kawasaki ZX6).

Kewyn Snyman (The Mag Workshop KTM RC390) took third and second places in the respective two Super300 races, to clinch the title ahead of Dino Iozzo (King Price Extreme/BikeFin Honda) and Taric van der Merwe (Evolve Nutrition Yamaha R3).

Thomas Brown (Rehab Ducati) won both BOTTS races to retain his championship crown.

In both races, he was followed home by James Harper (Moto Uno Ducati) and Mick Landi.
