Woolridge in line for FIA award
Young Ford Racing cross country factory driver Lance Woolridge has been named as one of five South Africans on a shortlist to attend the 2013/2014 FIA Young Driver Excellence Academy.
NOMINEE: Ford Racing factory driver Lance Woolridge.
Woolridge competes in the Donaldson Cross Country Championship along with co-driver Ward Huxtable. The pair won the opening event of the season and recently finished fourth on the Sun City 400.
The other nominations are racing drivers Aston Hare, Jordan Pepper and Kelvin van der Linde and rally driver Henk Lategan. The five will be interviewed at the Motorsport South Africa office today, with the winner expected to be announced tomorrow.
