Mercedes-AMG has taken the wraps off its GT R roadster set to make its first appearance at the Geneva Motor Show this week.
Good news is that the drop-top version offers the same levels of performance compared to its fixed-roof counterpart with a 0-96km/h in three and a half seconds before hitting a top speed at 317 km/h.
Under the long bonnet of the AMG GT R is the familiar twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine producing 430 kW and an ample 700 Nm of torque just like in the coupe.
It comes equipped with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
According to reports, Mercedes-AMG is only making 750 units of the GT R Roadster for the whole world and they come with a new matte gray paint finish for the roof plus but two carbon fiber packages.
