The easiest way to recognise a facelifted B-Class is from the front. A new bumper, wide radiator trim with two louvres and integral daytime running headlamps give the vehicle a more dynamic appearance. The rear bumper now features a contoured covering and an additional chrome trim strip.
Mercedes-Benz has enhanced a number of high-quality details in the B-Class, such as a larger, free-standing head unit display and a stylish dial layout for the instrument cluster. There is a choice of 12 colours for the ambient lighting.
The B-Class’s driving assistance systems have been enhanced.
Collision Prevention Assist Plus still adds autonomous partial braking to reduce the risk of rear-end collisions, while the Attention Assist feature has been upgraded. Operating within an extended speed range (60-200km/h), this now uses a five-stage bar display to reflect the driver’s attention level.
The new B-Class is available with a choice of two diesel engines (B200 CDI and B220 CDI) and two petrol engines (B200 and B250).
There are three design and equipment lines: Style, Urban and AMG Line.
The Style line’s exterior characteristics include alloy wheels, radiator trim with two louvres painted in iridium silver with chrome inserts, and shoulder-line trim strips in chrome.
The seats boast Artico man-made leather and selected elements in silver chrome, such as the moulding on the multifunction steering wheel, highlights on the gear lever and switches on the top control panel. Useful details like a double cup holder on the centre console and a 12v socket in the rear round off the high-quality feel.
The Urban line emphasises sportiness. The radiator trim has two louvres painted in iridium silver and chrome inserts, 17-inch five-spoke alloy wheels and a twin-pipe exhaust system integrated into the bumper.
Seats feature upholstery in Artico man-made leather and a leather multifunction steering wheel with perforated grip area.
The AMG Line has powerful AMG body styling, with lowered suspension, 18-inch five-twin-spoke AMG alloy wheels, perforated brake discs at the front, and brake callipers at the front with Mercedes-Benz lettering completing the striking exterior.
The seats boast Artico man-made leather/Dinamica microfibre, a multifunction sports steering wheel with a flattened bottom section, a gear lever with perforated leather, plus brushed stainless steel sports pedals with rubber studs.
Optional Night, Exclusive and AMG Exclusive packages allow the vehicle to be individualised further.
