Adventure seeking Mahindra Scorpio priced

With an all-new model currently undergoing testing, and poised for unveiling next year, Mahindra South Africa has introduced a new off-road focused version of the aging Scorpio, which takes the local line-up to three models.

Based on the top-spec S11 four-wheel-drive, the Scorpio Adventure receives a series of exterior enhancements, the most prominent being the steel front bumper with integrated bash plate with red tow hooks, as well as machine edged 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in all-terrain rubber.

Along with a steel rear bumper and tow bar, the Adventure also receives model identifying decals and side steps. The interior meanwhile continues unchanged with the same level of features as the conventional S11.

Underneath the bonnet, the long-serving 2.2 mHawk turbodiesel engine has been retained as is with outputs of 103kW/320Nm. A six-speed manual gearbox is once again entrusted with sending the amount of twist to the rear or all four wheels.

Pricing

Like the rest of the Scorpio line-up, the Adventure is covered by a four year/120 000 km warranty as well as a five year/90 000 km service plan.
